Alone in this world, orphaned, homeless, they struggle to survive.

Clinging to each other, they have found shelter of a sort, though winds howl through open spaces.
Now, they seek food. The empty bowl reflects their hunger. As in the days before, and the days to come, the children begin each morning as scavengers.

So many children, so many scavengers, they will try to hold onto life for as long as possible.
