It is a very old Synagogue, somewhere in Eastern Europe. It is patched and worn and boarded up. There are holes in the old tin roof. But wait, do I see "eyes" staring out between the slats on the back wall? Yes! Who still remains, and why are they there? Were they placed there just before the Synagogue was set afire? Or are they in hiding? Look carefully and you may still catch a glimpse of the Ark, the memorial wall and the serpent-rod symbolic of Moses before it is all lost forever.
